Matt Adcock is a wedding photojournalist and native of Atlanta, Georgia, who, after marrying Mexican Wedding Photojournalist, Sol Tamargo in 2007, made his career work in two countries. Tamargo, the true “Sol = sun” at heart, has managed to win the trust of 400+ clients in her short 5 year career. Together, they are del Sol photography and have been traveling the world documenting wedding stories. Their second home is in the Riviera Maya where they operate a studio that covers the Yucatan Peninsula and other regions of Mexico and throughout the Caribbean. Matt & Sol have personally trained a staff of 3 associate photographers, a graphic designer, and 2 interns currently working for the studios.
Matt & Sol have both achieved top award winning status with Wedding Photojournalist Association, an international photography organization leading the way in Wedding Photojournalism, WPJA represents the most discriminating talent around the world technically, creatively and visually. Qualified members hold industry-leading standards, skills and business integrity. International Photojournalism Awards: 20+ WPJA top placements.
Matt currently authors a photography lighting themed blog titled “FlashFlavor”. His ideas were inspired by a movement in the last few years by other photographers trying to better their imagery by using more flash photography with their subjects. Flash Flavor’s topics are generally on wedding photography or engagement photographs.
Del Sol Photographers have achieved international recognition throughout the photography industry and other press organizations for their elite destination wedding photography services.
